Yaron Carmel

I was born in 1974 in Zichron Yaacov. The first steps in dance I danced at the age of 10. In 1992 I joined the Army. I served in the Air Force about 3 years in a team. During military service I went through the dance instructors training in Tel Aviv with the dance department of the Histadrut. I graduated with honors.

The dancing gave me inspiration to try to develop a large dancing career and have my own content in the north.

After the service, in 1995 I opened my first harkada in Karmiel Community Center. Over the years I danced in many other places like: Kibbutz Mishmar Haemek, Rafael, Zichron Yaacov community.

I have classes in Gan Shmuel. Sometimes we have outdoor harkadot at the beach in Haifa. I produce the largest dance marathons in the country. Since 2006 I’m an executive producer of all harkadot in Karmiel Festival.

Ohad Atia

I was born in 1978 to a house full of dancing, since my parents have danced for many years together. I started dancing as a teenager in school and was drawn into the Folkdance community right away. I instantly found myself addicted and along with many of my friends, we spent night (and sometimes days) dancing. At that same time, I was also exposed to other dance styles such as Salsa, Rock n' Roll, Waltz, Tango etc.

When I was 18 years old, I created my first dance (with Dede Luski's help) - "Koko Jumbo", and later that year I choreographed "It only takes a minute".

During the following years I started instructing line and salsa dancing, and dancing in IFD groups like: Haifa dance group, whose choreographer was Bari Avidan, Technion dance group (were I studied computer science) choreographed by Oren Halali and Karmon dance group with the direction of Yonatan Karmon.

I have been in Europe and USA on numerous occasions as a guest choreographer and teacher. Currently I am teaching 5 days a week in my own sessions and I try to dance as much as I can at my friends sessions.

Among my dances you can find: Perach Ba'aviv, Torero, Milim, At lo mevina, Meni kolech mibechi and more.

Chen Shporen

My name is Chen and I was born in Haifa in Israel in 1982. Most of my work is with kids and teenagers, and I teach them all kinds of dances: like hip-hop, salsa and folk dancing. I also have a harkada for line dance that combines all the lines dances that was ever made until that day, in this harkada we dance hebrew, latin, arabic, english etc..and I really love this harkada, it gives me a lot of energy because of the good atmosphere. I really love all the fast dances...all the hora and the fast debkot...but my favorite dance is Ya’ale Veyavo, a really simple dance but very fast with a good tempo...

I have been invited to Europe lately as a guest teacher and choreographer. Among my dances you can find: Torero and Ole Ole.
